MP Rosie Duffield says she is quitting Labour over chief Keir Starmer’s “merciless” insurance policies and “hypocrisy” over his acceptance of presents.
In her resignation letter, published by the Sunday Times, the MP lambasts Sir Keir Starmer for the “staggering hypocrisy” of accepting presents value tens of 1000’s of kilos whereas scrapping the winter gasoline cost and maintaining the two-child profit cap.
Within the letter she mentioned the “revelations of hypocrisy” because the change of presidency in July had been “staggering and more and more outrageous”.
“I can’t put into phrases how offended I and my colleagues are at your complete lack of awareness about how you’ve made us all seem.”
She added: “The sleaze, nepotism and obvious avarice are off the dimensions. I’m so ashamed of what you and your interior circle have completed to tarnish and humiliate our as soon as proud celebration.”
The Sunday Instances has referred to as Duffield the quickest MP to leap ship after a basic election in trendy political historical past.
