To the editor: After the presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, I watched a televised focus group of undecided voters in Pennsylvania. I got here away baffled by Trump-leaning voters who cited the drastic worth will increase of grocery gadgets resembling bread, milk and bacon. (“How can millions of voters still be undecided between Trump and Harris? Here are their reasons,” column, Sept. 16)
Is it actually not value consuming two slices of bacon versus 4 for breakfast (and even none in any respect) as a way to proceed to dwell in a county freed from threats to imprison your political opponents? Do you actually need to threat dwelling in a Nazi-style nation so you’ll be able to eat extra bacon?
To me, that appears to be the easy alternative. And but, tens of millions of voters stay undecided. It’s actually baffling.

To the editor: Apparently, the voting bloc that would resolve the election includes “undecideds” who haven’t been paying consideration, “double-haters” who don’t like both candidate, and voters who’re solely taking note of how the economic system impacts them within the brief time period.
In different phrases, the way forward for our nation, even our democracy, relies on residents who don’t know, don’t care, or don’t suppose it issues both method. Democracy is being eaten away by the three-headed monster of ignorance, apathy and cynicism.
Can’t we do higher than this? Within the Info Age, can’t we nurture an informed populace that understands how its authorities works, residents who care concerning the future and settle for their accountability to elect leaders who will serve with integrity?
I perceive that individuals are preoccupied with incomes a dwelling, elevating their children and looking for some which means in life, but when the destiny of our nation is set by the “undecided,” then we’re actually misplaced.

To the editor: I should be dwelling within the Twilight Zone.
Trump tried to invalidate the votes of 81 million individuals in a free and truthful election. The loser of the 2020 election, he needed to remain in energy regardless. He impressed a violent riot on the U.S. Capitol.
Throughout the debate that these undecided voters watched, Trump didn’t apologize for any of that and nonetheless claimed he gained the election. He made a false, racist and harmful declare that authorized immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, had been consuming peoples’ pets. His vice-presidential candidate continues to be defending that declare in interviews.
Trump was discovered responsible for sexually assaulting a lady. He unfold the racist lie that former President Obama was not born on this nation. He was sued for defrauding college students who attended his faux college, ultimately settling for $25 million.
With a report like that, how can anybody consider that he cares concerning the American individuals?
