France has begun evacuation flights from Niger amid unrest sweeping the West African nation after final week’s coup.
The coup has prompted demonstrations in opposition to the previous colonial energy, with the French embassy coming underneath assault.
It comes because the juntas in Burkina Faso and Mali warned that any forcible try to revive the ousted president can be seen as a declaration of warfare.
