Three suspected spies for Russia within the UK have been arrested and charged in a significant nationwide safety investigation, the BBC can reveal.
The defendants, all Bulgarian nationals, have been held in February and have been remanded in custody since.
It’s alleged they have been working for the Russian safety providers.
They’re charged with possessing id paperwork with “improper intention”, and are alleged to have had these figuring out they have been pretend.
