One of many largest cities in Canada’s north is being evacuated amid warnings {that a} wildfire might attain it by the weekend.
The 20,000 residents of Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories, have been given till midday Friday (18:00 GMT) to depart.
As of Thursday morning, the fireplace was inside 16km (10 miles) of town.
Canada is having its worst wildfire season on file, with almost 1,100 energetic fires burning throughout the nation as of Wednesday.
