The primary complete evaluation of deep-sea dives has revealed that people have solely straight noticed a tiny fraction – lower than 0.001 per cent – of the worldwide deep seafloor, leaving the overwhelming majority of our planet unexplored.
Oceans make up 71 per cent of Earth’s whole floor space, and round 93 per cent of that space is deep seafloor, classed as seabed deeper than 200 metres. Whereas a lot of this ocean area has been mapped utilizing satellites and ship-mounted sonar, little or no has been straight noticed.
