41 migrants have died after their boat sank off the Italian island of Lampedusa.
4 individuals who survived the catastrophe informed rescuers that they have been on a ship that had set off from Sfax in Tunisia and sank on its approach to Italy.
The native public prosecutor mentioned he had opened an investigation into the tragedy.
The survivors – a 13-year-old boy, two males and a lady – informed rescuers that they have been on a ship carrying 45 folks, together with three kids.
