Safety forces in Brazil have detained not less than 1,500 individuals after supporters of far-right former president Jair Bolsonaro stormed authorities buildings within the Brasília.

Hundreds of demonstrators ransacked the Congress constructing, presidential palace and Supreme Courtroom.

Bolsonaro misplaced the presidential election to left-wing Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in October 2022. Lots of his supporters have refused to simply accept the outcome and a few have been tenting outdoors military buildings across the nation calling for a army intervention to overthrow the federal government.

Bolsonaro has denied encouraging Sunday’s assault.
